What Causes Neck Pain?
Most neck pain comes from the muscles and joints of the neck and upper back. Long hours at a desk or on a phone, poor sleep positions, stress, lifting and sports can all overload these tissues. Injuries such as whiplash and conditions like a pinched nerve or arthritis can also cause neck pain.
Neck pain often comes with other symptoms: headaches at the base of the skull, pain between the shoulder blades, or tingling into the arm. A thorough assessment helps us find where the pain is coming from so treatment targets the cause, not only the sore spot.
